Mrs. Porter's Update for the Week of 3/23/20

Dear ELC/Preschool Families,

It was so good to see many of you as you picked up packets today. It's also very exciting to see the interactions taking place on social media and on SeeSaw. You guys are doing an amazing job. Keep it up and know we will have more to share later. Please know we don't want you to feel stressed in doing the work or activities, we simply want to help. You also have permission to use my name at anytime if kids aren't cooperating. I actually FaceTimed with one student yesterday who was having a really hard time listening to her mom!  So know that we are all in this together.

I shared the following with ELC families earlier and thought I would do the same with you. It's amazing how God works!

These are challenging times and situations that we are all walking through together. One of my favorite daily devotions is Jesus Calling. Everyday it seems to touch upon something that I am experiencing. Today is on TRUST. "Trust me one day at a time. This keeps you close to Me, responsive to My will. Trust is not a natural response...Tomorrow is busy worrying about itself; don't get tangled up in its worry-webs. Trust Me one day at a time." So POPCS families , trust Him. Scripture that supports this is:  Matthew 6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."   Jeremiah 17:7 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord."

If you need to pickup extra diapers or wipes, please let us know and we will make arrangements to pull them for you. If you need childcare, we will see if any of our staff is available to hire and work at your home to help care for your children. Let us know and we will see how we can help.

I hope you are enjoying messages from your teachers. They miss your children and are praying for your families. During these trying and uncertain times we can hold onto Trusting Him!

Sending blessings your way today,

Mrs. Porter
