Grade 8 Recognition Ceremony Update

Dear Grade 8 Families,

We hope you had a happy Mother’s Day!

In planning and seeking approval to host an Grade 8 recognition ceremony outside, we have been asked to push the date back to May 29, the date that the TEA has approved for outdoor ceremonies. We will plan on the ceremony now being May 29 at 10am.

I am excited that we will be able to safely recognize our Grade 8 students at this time on campus. This will be a drive up ceremony in the parking lot, for the student's immediate family only.  We will abide by 6 ft social distancing guidelines, along with other precautions such as gloves, sanitizers, masks, and no physical touching.

Students should dress nicely, and appropriately.  No tube tops, or very shorts skirts please, and no jeans or shorts please.  Gentlemen may choose to wear a tie if they would like. There will be a Zoom meeting invitation sent to students to review what to expect during the ceremony and how to dress etc.

Just wanted to give you this brief update for your calendars -  more information to come!

Thank you!
