Letter from Lower School Leadership
Dear POPCS Lower School Families,
It this time of change, lots of people have been kind enough to say, "Thank you for your leadership." Truthfully, it's the honor of the administration at POP to serve in such a time as this. And to you, parents, we say, "Thank YOU for YOUR leadership!" You are the leaders in the homes - we are the facilitators. You are setting up technology, schedules, workstations, meals, bedtimes and more - all in the best interest of your child's education. You are wiping the noses and giving the hugs and calming the fears, and you are doing a GREAT JOB, parents!
Our PS-Grade 5 teachers have worked to prepare additional home learning packets for pick up to complement our Distance Learning. Teachers will include any supportive text books, Bibles, and other learning materials. This will be our last packet pickup during this time. We will be providing curbside pick up on Monday, 3/23 from 9am-12pm. Please enter off Midway Road and drive toward the front office (Fine Arts Center) where a helper will ask your child's name and teacher name, then bring you your packet. Please then drive forward and exit to International Drive.
As we continue our Distance (Virtual) Learning, we will be adding video conferencing to the Lower School platform of communication using Zoom. Look in the App Store for Apple devices (or Google Play for Android) for Zoom Cloud Meetings or zoom.us online. Grade level teachers will be reaching out to families with specific instructions and schedules. Please feel free to speak to your teacher (or send me a note) if you have any concerns - We want to be sensitive to the variety of challenges facing our parents and families at home, and know that some may not prefer to add this option.
May God continue to bless and keep each of your families in His peace and His grace.
In partnership with you,
Prince of Peace Christian School
