Dr. Lowe's Letter to Seniors and Families
Seniors and Parents,
It's so incredibly strange not seeing each of you in the halls, and whenever I think about you I lift up a prayer asking God to care for you. In that light, I made a little video to let you all know my thoughts surrounding graduation. I realize Governor Abbott will be talking later today regarding Texas and how we fit into the President's plan for opening up the country. However, I wanted to let you know I am thinking about your graduation daily and making plans within plans with Mr. Hahn so we can be as nimble as possible as the current climate surrounding COVID-19 changes - for better or worse.
I've heard you loud and clear: you desire a traditional ceremony (if possible) and I do, too. That said, POPCS decisions will be based upon the CDC, our state and local officials, and the venues we are considering for graduation. Please note the important backup date of JULY 25TH, 2020 for graduation in hopes social distancing regulations have eased.
I'll communicate again with you in a week with any potential updates but know that we are thinking of you and how to honor your achievements this year in the best and safest way we can. God bless you all and keep you safe!
